Mix Nashville, 2009http://mixonline.com/ms/nashville/video/index1.html

After much delay, worry, wrangling, planning and re-planning, Mix Nashville is happening once again.

Mix Nashville will be held Monday & Tuesday, September 13-14, 2010, at Soundcheck Nashville.

My panel on Advanced Plug-In Techniques will be on day 2 at 11:00am.  Hope to see you there!

I’ve been contributing time to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital’s Music Therapy Program.

It is a program supported by the Julian T. Fouce Fund to help patients express themselves through song.

The kids collaborate with a music therapist to write songs.  Some of the songs are being recorded by popular artists to be released on CD.

Watch the video below and see us in the studio with Vince Gill recording “That’s Who I Am”.

Bryn Marcon

It was great to spend time mixing with my buddy, Joshua Payne.  Josh is an accomplished artist in his own right, but this time around he was acting as producer, guiding a new act that call themselves Bryn Marcon.  Together, they’ve got a unique approach to music and instrumentation and I was proud to be asked to mix.

At the House Of Blues Recording Studio with Alison Krauss

The CD project for the Music Therapy Program at The Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has picked up some momentum. I’ve recorded and mixed an incredible track with Alison Krauss and have also recorded Phil Vassar and the Fisk Jubilee Singers.  The finished project is due out in May. I hope it can be a big help to a very worthy program.
